2K Games is celebrating the release of Borderlands 4 with a huge giveaway on social media, and fans of the franchise have a chance to grab a free copy of the new game.

If you head on over to Twitter, you’ll find that 2K Games is hosting a giveaway, offering up a chance to win one of six free copies of Borderlands 4 Deluxe Edition for the platform of their choice.

In the tweet from the publisher, they say, “We're giving away 6 free Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition game codes to celebrate Launch.”

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is follow 2K Games on Twitter, and comment which platform you’d love to play on, underneath the giveaway tweet.

It’s as simple as that. Then you can cross your fingers and hope to be playing through the chaos and gunfire in the newest Borderlands adventure.

So far, the launch has been positive for the most part, with the game receiving a warm reception from critics.

GAMINGbible’s James Lynch dished out an 8/10 score in his review, noting, “Any game that delivers out-and-out fun at the rate of Borderlands 4 deserves its flowers, and it lives up to the reputation that the previous games so carefully built.”

Sadly, PC players are struggling to get the game running well, which has resulted in the game receiving a ‘Mixed’ rating on Steam, with countless players logging their frustrations via reviews.

Issues with optimisation, glitches, and graphical errors currently plague Borderlands 4, but future patches should iron out the problems, and make for a smoother experience.

Over on console, it doesn’t seem to be having such issues, and if you want to play it for yourself, then you’d better get over to Twitter and enter the giveaway.
