Big Chungus Has Been Trademarked By Warner Bros., And We Know What That Means

Oh lawd he's comin'.

Oh boy, you already know what’s going on. Back in 2018, it was genuinely difficult to move online without encountering masses upon masses of Big Chungus memes. The rotund Bugs Bunny was everywhere, be it as a simple, foreboding reaction image, or starring in one of the many (definitely real) video games featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series.

Take a look at MultiVersus in action in the video below.

Now then, four years on, and as reported by TheGamer, it seems Big Chungus could be headed to a game very soon. Twitter user @the_marmolade posted a screenshot of what they claim to be a trademark which would allow Warner Bros. to use the chunky boi in a game. Assuming it’s real, it was filed just a few days ago on 26 August, although it doesn’t specify what for.

That said, I’m sure we can all make a very solid guess - most people are assuming that Big Chungus is on his way to MultiVersus - the free-to-play fighting game which features a whole host of Warner Bros.-owned characters, including Shaggy, Superman, Batman, Finn and Jake. Already included on the roster is Bugs Bunny, so it’s not known if Big Chungus could be added as an entirely separate character, or if he might just be a skin for Bugs.

As of now though, this is pure speculation, but it would be really funny to see it happen. Big Chungus previously made an appearance in the mobile title, Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, so it wouldn’t be his video game debut, but I’m sure we can all agree that the more Chungus we have in this world, the better.
