There's a whole lot of Assassin's Creed coming our way over the next few years, and it looks like the party is going to start slightly earlier than you might have expected.

It's certainly a very exciting time to be a fan of Assassin’s Creed as Ubisoft moves to double down on the franchise with... so many games.

Last year's Assassin’s Creed Mirage took the franchise back to its stealth-based roots, while next year's Codename Red is sounds amazing. There's plenty on the horizon, but it all starts with a new release next month you might have missed.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Hidden Codex is a brand-new graphic novel from Dark Horse Books that brings fans back to the world of 2020's viking RPG. It's set to launch 30 April, and will give us a deeper look at the world of Assassin's Creed during the Valhalla era.

The Hidden Codex introduces a brand-new character called Edward, a scribe who finds himself drawn into a shadowy plot involving secret orders and strange documents. Classic Assassin's Creed, in other words.

"No one knows where these occult-looking symbols came from, but Edward has seen such writings before: in the workshop of an enigmatic wise man among the Vikings who is part of a secret order: Those Unseen," the synopsis teases "An order that could offer answers to Edward, and guarantee his aspirations of freedom and knowledge. But with that knowledge, can he find and rescue his own brother before it's too late?"

Assassin's Creed fans will definitely want to check this one out. And if you're particularly into the RPG trilogy, you definitely shouldn't miss this stunning fan remaster of Assassin's Creed Origins, which gives the beloved Egyptian adventure an entirely new look and feel. Yep, it's a great time to be an Assassin's Creed fan.
