Assassin’s Creed: Hexe is just one of multiple Assassin’s Creed titles expected to release over the upcoming years.

However, with this one expected to be a linear story and a “different type of game” according to Ubisoft’s Marc-Alexis Côté, fans are hyped over the promise of something new.

Check out the Assassin's Creed Hexe teaser below!

Although we don’t know too much about Assassin’s Creed: Hexe yet, rumours suggest that it is still in early development and is expected to be released in 2026.

More importantly, it is expected to feature a female protagonist, named Elsa, who has supernatural abilities.

Footage sent to Insider Gaming shows Elsa show off one of her abilities after she is hunted by 16th century German soldiers.

To help her escape, she seemingly possesses a nearby cat who she then controls to knock over a nearby pot.

This will be the first time we see supernatural abilities such as this featured in an Assassin’s Creed title and it is no wonder that fans are eager to see what else Elsa is capable of.

“I imagine she has those "supernatural abilities" because of a Piece of Eden?” One fan mused over on r/assassinscreed.

Another said: “Sounds nice, supposed to be really atmospheric too like the original AC Victory which turned into Syndicate, hopefully a dense city with lots of parkouring also like AC Unity and Syndicate.”

This could indeed be possible as footage sent to Insider shows a dark and gloomy setting and a cobbled street where Elsa seemingly operates.

With Assassin’s Creed: Hexe expected to be set during the 16th century Holy Roman Empire, it can be assumed that we will see some variation of the witch trials.

Either way, it seems as though Ubisoft is going down a slightly different route with this entry and I, for one, am excited to see how it plays out.
