Psst, hey. You like free games? Of course you do, why else would you have clicked this? Well, lucky you, because the next two freebies available on the Epic Games Store have been announced, and you won’t want to miss them.

I’m not sure that two more wildly different games could have been selected for this, but variety is the spice of life, right? On one hand, we have a very colourful and cute couch co-op, and on the other, one of the spookiest games released in recent years. So, y’know, there’s something here for everyone.

Starting tomorrow (21 April), you’ll be able to grab Amnesia: Rebirth for absolutely nothing, so long as you have an Epic Games Store account. The 2020 survival horror is the third instalment in the Amnesia series, and a sequel to The Dark Descent. Playing as Tasi Trianon, you wake up in the desert of Algeria, and your only chance of survival hinges on you figuring out your past, navigating Tasi’s “personal terror and pain”. Lighthearted fun!

Take a look at a few minutes of gameplay footage for Amnesia: Rebirth below.

If spooks aren’t your thing (you and me both), perhaps you’ll be more interested in that cute co-op adventure I mentioned - Riverbond is an indie title from Cococucumber, which you can play with up to four friends. Or enemies, there’s no rules there. Either way, you’ll have to work together to save the citizens of Riverbond and defeat evil by smashing it into a load of very small cubes.

These two titles will be available to download for free until 28 April, so be sure to claim them now. If you act fast, you can also still grab the current two free titles, the adventure rogue-lite Insurmountable, and the alien-squashing strategy game XCOM 2. You have until tomorrow to download those before you have to use actual money (ew) to get them, so if either take your fancy, get them while you can.
