Twitch users can now seek divine intervention through an AI Jesus that’ll answer any question you can think of, no matter how random.

Ask_jesus is an AI version of Jesus Christ, in which viewers can ask questions through the stream’s chat feature. The AI Jesus will then answer the questions, even moving its mouth to match the words it says, which is pretty spooky stuff.

Speaking of Twitch, take a look at some of our favourite livestream wins and fails below.

Now, are viewers using this AI to seek knowledge, wisdom, and answers to life’s big questions? Absolutely not, they’re asking it about Fortnite and anime. Luckily the AI is a good sport about the whole thing, and tends to answer the majority of questions put to it, although sometimes it refuses to answer some spicier questions, probably to adhere to Twitch’s terms of use and not upset the more innocent viewers.

One question asked Jesus’ thoughts on the smash-hit battle-royale game Fortnite. Jesus said he doesn’t play video games but does enjoy seeing the enjoyment people take from them, which is quite a fair and diplomatic answer.

Of course, many questions revolved around popular anime, one of which being the AI’s thoughts on Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the darkest animes of all time, and another asking if the son of God could defeat Dragon Ball Z character Goku.

Funny stuff aside, many have asked genuine questions about the AI’s thoughts on real-life events and ideologies, such as gender, terrorism, and more, all of which tend to be answered seriously.

AI Jesus isn’t the first or only AI-generated stream on the platform, as others exist of various characters and series. SpongeBob SquarePants, Star Trek and Steamed Hams are just a few examples, and as technology continues to improve and evolve, there’ll likely be many more on the way.
