If you’re after a ton of free PlayStation games with no demo in sight to play in March 2026, then we’ve got you covered.
The PlayStation Store is packed full of free demos and trials that you can play today, and are a great indication as to whether a full game might be worth parting with your hard-earned cash.
However, as ideal as demos are, they only offer a snippet of a game that we may or may not be interested in. Yet, when it comes to AAA free-to-play titles, while often plagued by numerous microtransaction enticements, it is possible, for the most part, to enjoy the game without spending a single penny.
We Love Free PlayStation Games!
Some of the games in this list are already popular, but even if there’s a chance you’ve never played them, it’s worth a mention nonetheless. It’s even better if there’s at least one free game here that you’ve never played.
With that in mind, here are 12 free games that you can download and play right now, courtesy of the PlayStation Store.
Call of Duty: Warzone
One of the best free FPS games out there!

Call of Duty: Warzone is the popular free-to-play battle royale shooter from Activision, is the perfect entry in the series to play if you have no interest in the single-player offerings. Warzone is regularly updated with new events, areas of the map and free items to unlock via its battle pass (as well as juicy content from its premium battle pass).

Destiny 2
A fantastic shooter from the Halo creators
Bungie’s epic sci-fi first-person shooter was a paid-for experience until Destiny 2 was made free-to-play in October 2019. Granted, the newest expansions will require you to spend cash to access, but if you want a free experience, it still includes some expansions with plenty of single-player/co-op campaigns, such as Beyond Light, as well as its high-octane multiplayer modes and more.
2/12
Disney Speedstorm
One for Mario Kart fans!
The best way to think of Disney Speedstorm is that it’s basically a free-to-play kart racer, inspired by Nintendo’s Mario Kart series but with all the Disney and Pixar characters that you love. With iconic characters such as Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, Captain Sparrow and more, if you don’t own a Nintendo console, Disney Speedstorm should not be overlooked.

eFootball
The beautiful game is free!
What used to be International Superstar Soccer and Pro Evolution Soccer back in the day, eFootball is Konami’s iteration of the beautiful game that was once considered to be a great alternative to EA’s FIFA/Sports FC series. Sure, eFootball no longer includes single-player modes such as the Master League, but if you were after a free game to test your skills against other players online, you could do worse than eFootball.

Fall Guys
Run, my silly beans!

This Saturday night gameshow-inspired multiplayer title was the buzz of social media in 2020. You control silly, wobbly bean characters as you try to navigate wacky obstacle courses from start to finish against other players online to win the prestigious crown. While Fall Guys doesn't have the same level of buzz as it did six years ago, if you’ve not played this fun free game, you might just appreciate what all the fuss was about.
5/12
Fortnite
The battle royale blueprint!
Of course, we know you’ve all heard of Fortnite. After all, it’s one of the biggest free-to–play shooters in the industry, and for good reason, it’s a fantastic game. Cartoon-inspired visuals and fantastic third-person shooting gameplay make Fortnite an experience for all ages. It is filled with plenty of microtransaction enticements, but you can easily have a blast with this game without spending a penny.
6/12
Genshin Impact
RPG fans will love this!
This is a free-to-play RPG that, if it weren’t for its microtransactions, could easily pass as a AAA premium experience. Genshin Impact has fun combat, gorgeous visuals, constant updates adding new content, and it’s a joy to play with friends. If you’re looking for an immersive RPG that won't cost you a penny, this might be worth checking out.
7/12
Marvel Rivals
A rival to Overwatch!
Forget Overwatch (sorry, Overwatch fans), but if there was ever a hero shooter that would be my cup of tea, it would be Marvel Heroes. I mean, can you get more heroic than the likes of Spider-Man, Captain America and Thor? Oh, don’t worry if sinister villains are your cup of tea, because Marvel Rivals has plenty of those, too. So, what are you waiting for? Get your friends together and save the world already, or destroy it, whatever floats your boat.
8/12
Rocket League
Football with cars! What's not to love?

What can only be described as football with racing cars, Rocket League was all the rage when it first launched in 2015 as a premium title before going free-to-play in September 2020. Don’t be fooled by its charming visuals and the welcoming nature of its gameplay, because perhaps no better game is best described as easy to play, hard to master, than Rocket League. Hands down, Rocket League will be one of the most fun free games that you’ll play today.
9/12
The Finals
From the creators of ARC Raiders!
From the creators of ARC Raiders, Embark Studios, if you love high-octane first-person shooters with a level of in-game destruction that can rival the Battlefield series, then The Finals could be worthy of your attention. Set in a gameshow world, The Finals is amazingly one of the best shooters available, and it’s completely free. So, go check it out already.
10/12
Warframe
An OG free sci-fi shooter!
Released in 2013, Warframe is one of the OG sci-fi shooters, long before free-to-play offerings became as popular as they are today. Set in a sci-fi universe, featuring epic large-scale wars, intense PvE action and tons of character customisation, oh, and it’s still a great game, it’s no wonder that Warframe is still going strong more than a decade later.
11/12
Wuthering Waves
Another free RPG!
Perhaps similar to the likes of Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves is a story-driven RPG that can be played with other players online. This free RPG features an immersive story, intense combat and plenty of fun missions to keep you busy for hours on end. Microtransactions aside, how on earth is this game free?
12/12
So there you have it, hopefully, at least one or a few of the free games mentioned above will tickle your fancy and keep you busy throughout March 2026 and beyond.
