The latest update and announcement for GTA Online has fans of the franchise frustrated that no news is forthcoming on GTA VI.
Posted to Reddit under the heading “We Are Cooked” a fan simply posted an image from Rockstar Games’ social media showing off the new Halloween update.

I guess they’re peeved that Rockstar Games are focusing on a Halloween event rather than putting out a second trailer for GTA VI? Or something?
Whatever the motivation, the backlash quickly started from other fans who, while equally frustrated at the lack of news, didn’t see how they’re “cooked.”
This is furthered by comments like “Milking the last drops from GTAV while they can, no surprise there.”
Of course, this being Reddit, the thread turned into fun and games with one user posting, “Not so fast look deeper... 6 people 1 bird 1 pumpkin 1 house that's 9 things. Happy Halloween is 14 letters. They clearly just teased 9/14 as the release date.”
This sparked Any_Fig_1164 to say, “I love watching the reaction of clowns in this sub.”
I get it. GTA VI is going to be the biggest game of all time and we all want news on the release. Even a teaser trailer would be nice.
However, Rockstar Games is known for their secrecy and for taking their time. Promoting Halloween events doesn’t take away from what’s coming next year.
Redditor Awkard_Tennis6706 comments, “This sub be like ‘there are 6 faces in this pic so that means they are teasing a GTA 6 delay to 2026!!!’”
While Educational-Beach-72 said, “Oh no rockstar doing the same thing they’ve done routinely for 10 years!!!! This f**king subreddit I swear.”
Don’t worry guys, there will be news soon. We all want it and it will likely come towards the end of this year.
