What to expect from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

According to Activision, who produce the game, the latest addition to the Call of Duty universe is set in the early 1990s, “during a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, which was characterised by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower.”

And soon “Black Ops veteran Frank Woods and his team find themselves hunted by the military machine that created them.”

If that sounds like your kind of thing or you’ve played every Call of Duty game since its initial launch, there will be plenty of great gameplay campaigns to choose from and 16 new maps on launch day. And two of those maps see the return of fan favourite Round-Based Zombies, where players can face off against the undead.

Another one of the new features is called omnimovement, which essentially allows players to sprint and dive in every direction, not just forward. With it also allowing you to slide around corners and turn in mid-air, as you do so, a la John Wick.

So, whether you’d prefer to keep it as a first-person shooter single-player campaign or open up the game with multiplayer, there are plenty of great missions to get stuck into.
