There are so many free games available on Steam right now that it genuinely makes my head hurt. These are proper free games too, mind you. We’re not talking free-to-play, or free with a subscription: these are honest-to-goodness free games.
It can be difficult to keep track of everything on Steam at the best of times, not least when you’re trying to get a handle on all the free games you can play on your PC.
The good news? We’ve rounded up all the latest that are still free at the time of writing, and have found a whopping 40 freebies. We’ll add to this list as more become available, but for now? Take a look and see what tickles your fancy!

- Raw Nerve - a “weird and wild” driving sandbox game set in “a psychedelic galaxy”.
- S.P.L.I.C.E.D. - a 3D side-scrolling Metroidvania which takes place in a gorgeous biopunk Chinatown.
- Snotty’s Sewer - an indie horror in which players have to outrun a children's TV character in an abandoned sewer.
- A Bad Day For A Hangover - One hungover dude vs a robot invasion.
- Galactic Grinder - Side-scrolling skateboarding game set in outer space.
- Spy Rumble - Among Us but with spies.
- Abathor - Atlantis Landing - a 2D retro arcade-style action platformer for up to four players.

- Temtem Showdown - a Pokémon-like multiplayer turn-based battle simulator.
- Doomsday: Last Survivors - a zombie tower defence game with real-time strategy elements.

- Monsters Domain: Prologue - An early demo for an ambitious fantasy RPG.

- World Boss - a multiplayer FPS free-for-all with loads of different play-style options.
- Miners Settlement - a pixel art RPG that looks genuinely lovely.
- Home Designer Makeover Blast - Puzzle solving blended with interior design.
- Train Operator 377 - a train simulation game which lets players experience one of the “UK’s oldest and most enchanting railways” from the driver’s seat.
