Sara Heritage

Hello!

Bit of a different article than usual, this. Rest assured, we’ll be back to bringing you freebies, mods and all the latest trending news ASAP, but I wanted to hop on here and just introduce myself.

I’m Sara, and This is My First Day as Brand Editor at GAMINGbible!

Mad that.

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with gaming magazines. The gloss. The dark, edgy colours of games I couldn’t afford. I remember sitting in the aisles of Morrisons (UK supermarket, for any US fans), blocking everyone trying to get through to mugs and miscellaneous seasonal tat, reading through those editors notes you’d get on the inside cover. I remember envying them, my heart filled with such a strange longing, even if I hadn’t clocked that it was an actual job I could one day do myself.

Well, here I am. Consider this my very first Editor Note.

How Did I Get Here?

I’ve been a games journalist for the past eight years, writing for outlets including TheGamer, GameByte, Lost In Cult, GGRecon, and more. Over that time, I’ve covered everything from major AAA launches to indie standouts, reviews (I’m notoriously critical, you’ll be glad to hear), and brainrot corners of fan culture on the internet.

Before joining GAMINGbible, I spent time on the other side of the industry as a Creative Lead working with PlayStation, 2k and a bunch of other gaming clients. The role was ‘dream big’ - I covered everything from football sponsorships (go sports) to esports tournaments and experiential activations. It gave me a real understanding of how games are marketed, positioned, and experienced - and how that doesn’t always line up with how players actually want.

End of the day, I’m just a huge nerd. I’m a lifelong Nintendo fan, with a particular soft spot for Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Classics, but you can’t go wrong. I’m also a competitive Pokémon player across both VGC and Pokémon Unite. I start every morning by booting up Pokémon Showdown, then wonder why I always have a bad day hah.

When I’m not gaming, you’ll probably find me building yet another LEGO set I absolutely did not need (yes, I’ve got thoughts on the Pokémon LEGO).

So that’s me!

But What About This Job?

At GAMINGbible, my job is to help shape the voice of the site. I hear you guys - I can’t do this without you! I can see what you guys are clicking on, what’s landing, what’s not.

I genuinely want to hear your opinions. Good or bad. What do you want to see more of from us? What’s not working? What do you feel like you’re not getting from GAMINGbible - or any other gaming site right now? If you’ve got thoughts, feedback, or strong feelings, I want to hear them. You can DM the page, or me on X, or leave a comment on a post, I’ll see it.

You’ll see me writing soon, I’m just getting settled in. I hope you’ll like my thoughts. See you all soon!
