Red Dead Redemption 2 players discover new mythical creature after 6 years

There is another giant discovery to be found

There is nothing worse than an open-world title where half of the world is empty (not naming any names) but Red Dead Redemption 2 is a lesson in how to do it with secrets still being uncovered in the Rockstar entry to this day.

We are no strangers to reporting on the latest discovery to be found in Red Dead Redemption 2. Just this month we drew attention to a heartbreaking secret found in the game’s final moments and now we have another.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 launch trailer below!

Found after 6 years, one Reddit user over on r/reddeadredemption has discovered a mythological creature that can only be found after studying 30 different species of animals.

“This game is amazingly huge. People are still finding new stuff to this day, like 6 years later. That is INSANE!” they wrote alongside instructions on how to find this mysterious giant.

Apparently, once you have studied the instructed number of species, you can travel to east of Fairvale Shanty in the Grizzlies East region of Ambarino. Here you will find a cave which is home to a giant.

Although you can talk to this mysterious giant, any conversation will be brief but you will discover that he is lonely and so the player can travel back after a few in-game days to talk with him again.

Other than that, the giant remains something of a mystery but he does have some sort of connection with animals which makes sense considering you must study them in order to find him at all.

Although this is a small Easter egg, it is not one that is easily stumbled across and goes to show how much detail Rockstar Games put into their entries.

Let us hope the same level of detail is awarded to Grand Theft Auto 6 when it releases some time next year.
