Gamers can be rewarded for eating Doritos and drinking Mountain Dew and Rockstar Energy drinks next week courtesy of a collaboration between Microsoft, PepsiCo and Frito-Lay.
Who said playing video games and eating junk food will never result in anything? Clearly not Microsoft who is teaming up with various companies to offer Xbox users the chance to win one free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Beginning 9 October, specially marked Doritos, Mountain Dew and Rockstar Energy could contain a code for a free month of the subscription service (as long as you are a new subscriber).

To get involved, all you have to do is make sure your purchases are marked with featured imagery from games such as Starfield, Redfall and Sea of Thieves and then get consuming. Any codes that you find should be entered over at DoritosDewRockstar.com to unlock the reward. However, not only can you win a month’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but Microsoft is also giving away other rewards through the promotion. This includes the Magma Racing Suit for Forza Motorsport.

The company will also be giving away weekly sweepstakes including promotional points that can be used to redeem "game-themed e-bikes from SUPER73, PC gaming rigs, and bundles of Xbox consoles and accessories." Rockstar will also be getting involved by offering participants the chance to win a Starfield-themed 2023 Corvette Stingray.
The promotion ends on 29 December so you have plenty of time to consume your body weight in crisps and fizzy drinks. This will be the perfect time to try out the Xbox Game Pass after reports that it will be receiving a price hike in the near future. “We recently raised our prices once, but the decision was made after careful consideration, said Phil Spencer recently. “We believe it is important to provide services that are recognized as being of sufficient value even if prices are increased.”
With the Xbox Game Pass library currently featuring over 400 games to download, make sure you don’t miss out on this epic promotion.
