Since the beginning of time, men have had something to say about periods and ovulation, despite the fact that cisgender men do not have to live with their insides feeling as though they are caving in each month.
Now one latest discovery has proven just how far these men are prepared to go to insert themselves into menstrual cycles, as a website has been discovered which aims to track the cycles and ovulation periods of some of the most well-known VTubers.
Yep, you read that correctly. Yikes.
The website reportedly gathers information via social media posts and stream clips to predict the menstrual cycles of over 452 VTubers and displays them through virtual calendars and logs.

So, if you have ever wondered if your favourite VTuber was currently menstruating, now you know. Or you could be normal and have never had that thought in your life. What?!
Featured VTubers Have Been Sharing Their Thoughts
As you can imagine, news of this secret website has gone viral and the VTubers featured are understandably horrified by the discovery.
For Twitch VTuber Shekai, the website is nothing but an attempt to make “women’s life miserable” and “whoever added me into this s**t” should “seek therapy”.
However, VTuber chibidoki made light of the situation, sharing, “About to start tweeting about tummy pains every day so that VTuber ovulation tracker short circuits in confusion.”
Chibidoki makes a good point here as by gathering their information through social media posts and clips, it is practically impossible to get accurate “readings” of any potential menstrual cycles.
It may be hard to believe but people who menstruate can also suffer from other illnesses and symptoms unrelated to their cycle, which could explain bad stomach pains for example.
On top of the outright disgust for women’s bodies, this website also draws attention to the parasocial relationship that some fans can form with VTubers or content creators in general.
Taking Parasocial Relationships To The Extreme
Additionally, the discovery of this unsavoury website has left VTuber aliciaxlife having to share more about her cancer diagnosis, just proving how personal this really is.
“I saw people tag me. I want to remind you that I had uterine cancer and am still recovering,” she shared.
“I actually haven’t had my period in a very long time (over a year) because of my intensive hormone therapy to prevent me from getting cancer again.
“I won’t even have periods again until I stop the treatment and am trying to get pregnant. So that my body can produce the hormones without me having to take them (while pregnant).
“Remember women can go through endo, non regular periods and many different things when it comes to their bodies. Please ask for consent before adding a VTuber to the site. It might be a more sensitive topic than you think.”
Of course, there is nothing shameful about periods, menstruating or ovulation, and it should be openly discussed. But there is a fine line between people sharing their own experiences and a complete stranger sharing confidential, and often incorrect information, about people's bodies.
At the time of writing, the website, which I won’t link here for obvious reasons, is still live but let us hope that after this uproar, it will soon be taken down.
