There’s been plenty of talk about PlayStation freebies around these parts lately. This month, Extra and Premium tier PS Plus subscribers are collectively gaining access to a whopping 23 free titles including Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - The Definitive Edition, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition. It’s also been revealed today that all PlayStation owners can nab a lengthy Apple TV+ free trial, but the offer doesn’t last long.
It’s time to head over to the land of Xbox though as this month’s Game Pass additions have finally been revealed - and the line-up includes one of the best underrated horror games out there.
Speaking of Xbox, who’s excited for Starfield? Take a look at some gameplay below.
Game Pass subscribers will soon gain access to eight new titles: Amnesia: Collection, Amnesia: Rebirth, SOMA, Personal 5 Royal, Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery, Gunfire Reborn, Signalis, plus a preview of Phantom Abyss.

The underrated horror we’re referring to though is, of course, SOMA. Frictional Games’ 2015 release is undoubtedly creepy. From the studio that also created Amnesia, SOMA sees players travel down to a remote underwater research facility which, rather terrifyingly, is devoid of human beings. Well, human beings as we would define them. There's definitely someone decking the halls with baleful creatures.
All of the aforementioned games are available from 20 October. In case you missed it, day one release A Plague Tale: Requiem is available to download right now. In our review, GAMINGbible’s Imogen rated the game a nine noting that the title is “unmissable for fans of narrative heavy games and survival horror.”
