Star Wars: The Force Awakens prequel teaser reunites Luke and Ben Solo

A reunion, but is it a happy one?

Star Wars fans will be able to see what the relationship between Luke Skywalker and Ben Solo was like before the Dark Side took ahold of Ben.

The Star Wars franchise doesn’t always weave a linear timeline of events.

As such, relationships we thought lost may return to the fore to give us greater insight into how the events of the films came to pass.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens wouldn't have happened without these series of events

One such relationship will soon to give us some of the answers we’ve been seeking since we learnt that Kylo Ren, aka Ben, was once Luke’s apprentice.

We got a brief flashback during the films, however, this new prequel intends to not only reunite the two characters but to help us better understand how their relationship was formed.

In Star Wars: The Path of Hope issue 50, we reach the conclusion to this five-year Charles Soule created saga in preparation for a new chapter of the comics to begin.

“In Charles Soule and Madibek Musabekov's Star Wars #50, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker must teach his student Ben Solo a powerful lesson about the true balance between Light and Dark.

“He offers up a tale from the days of the Rebel Alliance that touches on multiple eras of Star Wars history, and brings this epic run to a thrilling, incredible climax!”

This epic 64-page finale will be available to purchase from 11 September.

September is shaping up to be a bumper month for Star Wars lore, as Star Wars: Darth Vader issue 50 is also coming out on 18 Sept.

Sadly, this month has had its fair share of losses as well; the latest being the death of James Earl Jones.

Tributes have been pouring in since the news was announced.

Best known as the voice of Darth Vader, the actor has touched many hearts during his long career.

It’s sad that his journey has now come to an end, yet it’s wonderful that his portrayal of Vader will live on.

The future of this franchise is changing, but before it does, we need a heavy dose of closure to the tales that have been steadily told over the last several years.
