Star Wars fans just realising only 2 characters appear in all 9 movies

Through thick and thin

When we discuss the Star Wars films, we can’t help but think of Luke Skywalker or Han Solo.

Yet, they don’t feature in all the films.

In fact, only two characters from the franchise star in all nine of the Star Wars movies.

Before we tell you who’s been there no matter the odds, would you like to place your (imaginary) bets on who it is?

Drum roll, please...

GAMINGbible's Kate Harrold chatted with Jude Law about Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

It’s the loveable droids C-3PO and R2-D2. Okay, not to upset anyone, but only one of those is actually loveable and we all know who it is.

But we digress.

It was a fan who’s since deleted their Reddit account that revealed this interesting bit of Star Wars trivia.

They said, “The only two characters that appear in all 9 films of the Skywalker Saga. Through thick and thin, they remained best friends through it all. Thank you, C-3PO and R2-D2.”

Occasionally, Star Wars is wholesome, as are the fans (the latter is the more shocking, I know).

Fellow fan gcolquhoun responded, “Star Wars is all about the unfailing friendship of two droids, one from Naboo, the other from Tattooine. Their bond is beautiful!”

While another user revealed even more trivia some of you may not be aware of.

User Beer_me_now666 shared, “Fun fact: Lucas really wanted the films to be more about the droids or at least to have them be more of the central focus and the story happening around them.

“I believe it originally is R2 the narrator, recalling the events and telling it to the Journal of the Whills.”

You learn something new every day.

Sadly, not everything we become aware of is joyous. You only have to look at how polarising the new Darth Vader casting is to see that.

It doesn’t take much to upset the fandom, but at least we’ll always have the bond of two droids to keep us going when times get tough.
