MCU fans hyped by new Thor 5 tease and director

This would be quite the duo

Thor 5 has only been hinted at by both Marvel Studios and Chris Hemsworth and so with details scarce about the highly-anticipated sequel, this latest update is something fans can finally latch onto.

It is hard to believe that it has almost been 15 years since Thor first appeared on our screens with 2011’s Thor but the chiselled Norse god has now become a key face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Check out the trailer for the most recent Thor entry, Thor: Love and Thunder, below!

Appearing in the Thor movie series as well as Avengers, the God of Thunder has been played to perfection by actor Chris Hemsworth and it appears as though he isn’t hanging up his hammer anytime soon.

Despite the latest Thor entry, Thor: Love and Thunder, not performing as well at the Box Office, fans are still eager for a fifth instalment.

However, the wait may indeed be worth it as a much-loved filmmaker has reportedly been linked to the project.

Courtesy of insider news from MCUFilmNews on Twitter and since shared on r/LeaksandRumours, “George Miller reportedly met with Kevin Feige to discuss directing Thor 5”.

Not only that but the meeting was arranged by Hemsworth himself.

Miller, who is most known for directing the Mad Max series of films, is a huge name to bring onto the project and it would definitely make Thor 5 unlike any other entries in the saga.

Additionally, with Miller having worked with Hemsworth in the latest Mad Max entry, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, it would appear as though the pair have a good rapport.

Although this is merely insider information without any confirmation from those present, it is still exciting to say the least and fans took to the comments to share their thoughts.

ChristyLovesGuitars wrote, “That’s one way to potentially save the Thor franchise. I don’t love the Mad Max stuff, but Miller is a hell of a director.”

ChronicallyPunctual had other reasons for being excited, saying, “This is the man who directed Babe 2: Pig in the City. I have complete trust in the man.”

Of course, it is worth taking this rumour with a pinch of salt but I, for one, cannot wait to see Thor take part in an epic car chase across Asgard.
