MCU fans divided over Avengers Vs. X-Men movie

Flop or blockbuster?

Marvel is going from strength to strength despite a slip in favour in recent years.

So much so that Marvel Studios has revealed that in 2025 alone, it has six shows to premiere - three live-action and three animated series, all coming to Disney+.

Check out the trailer for the most recent Marvel/X-Men crossover movie, Deadpool & Wolverine below!

This includes such projects as animated show Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man on 29 January, Daredevil: Born Again on 4 March and Ironheart on 4 June, to name a few.

There are also several movies to look forward to such as Captain America: Brave New World on 14 February, Thunderbolts* on 2 May and The Fantastic Four: First Steps on 25 July.

However, despite Marvel having plenty of projects in the works, fans want more and it seems as though the X-Men are continuing to crop up in online discussions.

“Would you guys want an Avengers Vs. X-Men movie after The Multiverse Saga ends?” one post read over on r/marvelstudios.

As we already know, the latest Avengers movie, Avengers: Endgame, was released in 2019 and ended The Infinity Saga saga for our current heroes.

However, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secrets Wars will be arriving in 2026 and 2027 respectively, welcoming a brand-new line-up of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

So what would fans think about them potentially going head-to-head with the X-Men themselves one day?

DefNotReaves had the top comment which read, “I don’t think it’ll hold the same weight without the OG Avengers.”

“Not really. There's like two Avengers left that I care about lol. Just bring on the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. And the entirety of the X-Men this time, instead of just Wolverine and his pals,” IShallReturnAlways said.

However, houseofbacon feels differently and commented, “Yes. 100%. Loved it in the comics and I completely assumed it was a main idea in mind when they bought Fox.”

Of course, an X-Men Vs. Avengers movie is not on the cards ... yet ... but luckily, it seems as though it is not something that a lot of fans are calling out for.
