The Last Of Us actor Troy Baker wants to voice Daredevil in a video game

Troy Baker would like to voice Daredevil himself, Matt Murdock, in a new video game - or at least direct the game.

If you’re here on this website, chances are that’s because you play video games - which means you’ve probably encountered Troy Baker at some point in your life. If you’re a PlayStation fan, then you almost definitely have. Actor Troy Baker is perhaps best known for portraying Joel in The Last of Us series, but you may have seen him as Sam in the Uncharted games, Higgs in Death Stranding, and even as the Bitter Squirrel in God of War Ragnarök … the list goes on.

A quick trip to Baker’s Wiki page will reveal that this guy seemingly never sleeps. His credits are endless - but he’s looking to add one more to the list. You may have heard Daredevil is experiencing somewhat of a popularity resurgence as a character, and Baker wants to voice him in a video game.

Speaking of Marvel, check out this untitled Black Panther and Captain America team-up game coming from the creator of Uncharted.

As reported by IGN, Baker made the confession during a recent trip to Milan Games Week. “I’ve said this a lot, I am a huge Daredevil fan," he said. "What Charlie Cox did for the [Netflix] show was amazing, and I had the opportunity to talk to him about it, and I told him what his performance of Daredevil meant. I want to either A — play Matt Murdock in a game, or I want to direct the game.”

He went on to add: “The reason why we play games is because that character can do something that I can’t. What does that game look like when I can do something that the character can’t? That is what really intrigues me about making that game, and it would be a big challenge for me as an actor, to be able to play someone who was not sighted.”

I can agree with Troy that Daredevil was a top-tier show. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock was officially drafted into the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Home's re-release earlier this year before later appearing in She-Hulk. The character also has a solo Disney+ show in the pipeline. If you’re reading this Kevin Feige, please bring back The Punisher too. It’s what we deserve.
