28-year-old TikTok star Rory Teasley was allegedly murdered by their boyfriend of 10 years last week, following an argument about the online hero shooter Overwatch.

People reports that Docquen Jovo Watkins has been arrested and formally charged with second-degree murder. It's claimed he choked Teasley to death after a fight related to the Activision Blizzard video game grew heated.

The Oakland sheriff’s department confirms that the 31-year-old Watkins called deputies to his apartment in Pontiac, Detroit. just before midnight last Thursday. He told authorities he'd fought with his boyfriend over Overwatch, and that his partner was "sleeping" on the sofa. The exact nature of the argument remains unclear.

Police responding to the call discovered Teasley unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard said: "We see far too often across the country these days when people resort to violence over trivial and insignificant disagreements. There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those that do so will be held accountable."

Watkins is scheduled to appear in court on January 18 and is currently being held without bond.

Teasley had over 220,000 followers on TikTok, and would regularly post lighthearted videos with a focus on comedy and dancing. His last upload was a self-deprecating sketch about turning 30.

Teasley's longtime TikTok collaborator and friend @NotoriousMoke shared a post on Instagram in tribute.

"I'm so lost for words I can't stop crying. I love you so much," he wrote. "I just need one last video with you. One last phone call. One last reading session."

GAMINGbible would like to extend its sincere condolences to Teasley's friends and family at this difficult time.
