Although Todd Howard has confirmed that Bethesda has turned its attention to The Elder Scrolls VI following the surprise launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, a recent social media post hints at another potential release.
Last month saw Bethesda shadow-drop The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and despite the lack of warning (other than a few rumours and insider leaks), the remake of the 2006 RPG was a success.

Fans have loved returning to Cyrodiil and enjoying the hilarious bloopers that have been kept in. However, it has also caused some players to think about another potential remaster that Bethesda may or may not be working on.

For context, 1 May celebrated the 23rd anniversary of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and as a result, Bethesda took to its official Twitter account to share a heartwarming post.
“Today marks 23 years of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind!” it announced.
“Celebrating you Nerevar.”
Morrowind, which was first released way back in 2002, revolutionised gaming so it is no surprise that fans are still hoping for a remake and what better time to do it than following the success of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered?

Although a potential remaster for Morrowind has not been confirmed or even hinted at by Bethesda, it has not stopped fans' minds from going into overdrive and they took to the comments to share their thoughts.
“When's the remake shadow drop?” user DansGaming asked with a cheeky side eye emoji.
User Alex Luerding agreed, adding, “Greatest RPG ever made. Now THIS game needs a remaster/remake.”
Needless to say, remastering a 2002 RPG will take a lot of work and Bethesda is already hard at work on the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI.

However, never say never as the call for remasters is stronger than ever.
