Stray, the upcoming indie game where you play as an asshole cat lost in a strange sci-fi world, is finally releasing on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC this month.

After tons of viral clips and promising showcases, BlueTwelve Studio's debut game will be available from July 19. Even better, it's going to be completely free for certain PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Take a look at Stray in all its glory below!

Last month Sony officially rolled out the all-new PlayStation Plus, which consists of three tiers each offering their own unique benefits. PlayStation Plus Essential is the service as we knew it before the overhaul, but Extra and Premium introduce a ton of new free games from all eras of PlayStation.

As it turns out, Stray will be available to Extra and Premium subscribers as a freebie as soon as it launches next week. This is a great move on the part of Sony that should, hopefully, get plenty more eyes on this strange and wonderful-looking indie game.

Given Stray's shorter length (around 8-10 hours) its inclusion as part of the subscription service should also tempt in more casual players who might have the funds or the willing to fork out money for a smaller game. Whatever gets the most people to come play this adorable cat game so we can get 100 sequels.

BlueTwelve has also submitted some genuinely sweet patch notes ahead of the game's launch for a day one update that'll introduce various fixes. You'll be glad to know, for instance, that "some meows have been totally re-meowed". Thank goodness for that.
