Dead by Daylight is no stranger to a good crossover. Behaviour Interactive’s survival horror has already partnered with Left 4 Dead, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Saw but one of the game’s most popular limited time events was 2019’s Stranger Things crossover.

The event brought Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler and a Demogorgon to Dead by Daylight, as players navigated the darkened hallways of one of Hawkins’ underground labs. If you remember the crossover fondly, the good news is that it may be making a grand return - complete with an extra guest.

The initial Stranger Things collaboration ended in November 2021 after Behaviour Interactive’s licence to use the Netflix IP expired, but that didn’t stop fans from putting a petition together to renew it. To date, over 38,000 fans have signed the petition and Netflix may have taken note.

Prominent leaker leaksDBD announced via Twitter that Netflix are apparently in talks with Behaviour Interactive over bringing the crossover event back, whilst also adding in season four character Vecna.

In a now-deleted tweet (Thanks Dexerto), leaksDBD wrote, “Netflix has contacted Behaviour proposing a future collaboration following the discontinued Stranger Things collab. This means not only ST Chapter coming back, but also new content – character ‘Vecna’ is part of it.”

LeaksDBD failed to give much in the way of evidence as whilst “parts of [the] evidence provided supporting this leak are still legit,” one particular Vecna edit that did the rounds online was a fan-made visual. Either way, leaksDBD remains convinced that the project is on track. As with any rumour, this has to be taken with a pinch of salt but Vecna would certainly be a cool addition to Dead by Daylight.
