'Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2' Ending Prompts Warning From Creators To Fans

It looks like Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 will be an emotional ride for fans.

How many times have you listened to ‘Running Up That Hill’ in the past couple of weeks? If you’re anything like me, it’s probably an unhealthy amount. It is the official anti-Vecna anthem after all.

It’s sort of impossible to miss but Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 recently landed on Netflix and broke a ton of records. A whopping 286.79 million hours of the show were watched globally across the series’ first weekend on the streaming platform, sending it to the number one spot in 83 countries. The best part is that we still have another batch of episodes to go as Vol. 2 lands on the platform on 1 July - although we’re being warned that it could be an emotional ride.

Check out the brand new trailer for Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 below. Beware, there are spoilers for those who are yet to complete Vol. 1.

Stranger Things’ show creators the Duffer brothers have now teased that Vol. 2 will not have a happy ending. It’s not exactly surprising given the state Vol. 1 left things in. All I’m saying is please protect Steve. I’m begging you.

Speaking to Empire magazine, Ross Duffer said, “I don't really want to say, but I would be concerned about the characters going into Volume 2, for sure. I hope that that is sort of the sense, because it is a darker season and the kids are no longer kids. And there's sort of an ominous feeling that things might not go well. Now, whether they do or not, you'll have to watch."

It’s not the first time that character deaths have been teased. Just last week, actor Noah Schnapp accidentally let slip that “We’ve got some deaths coming and some gore.” I’m still not over Bob’s death so I’m definitely not prepared to lose any of our main favourites. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.
