Following The Acolyte’s cancellation, it’s likely going to be a while before Star Wars’ High Republic era surfaces in a live-action setting.
You can, however, find out more via the new novel Trials of the Jedi.
There are actually a ton of High Republic novels out there, with individual series targeted at middle-grade fans, young adults, and adults.

Trials of the Jedi concludes an adult trilogy.
That trilogy kicked off with George Mann’s The Eye of Darkness in 2023, followed by Temptation of the Force by Tessa Gratton in 2024.
The concluding novel, Trials of the Jedi, has been written by Charles Soule.
Obviously, I recommend you go back and read the trilogy in its entirety, but if you’re already up to date, allow me to tease where Trials of the Jedi takes us next.

In this instalment, the Jedi face a final confrontation against the Nihil and Marchion Ro.
“The Force is everything. A single life connected to all life,” the synopsis reads, “[...] For too long, the light has been threatened by Marchion Ro, a sinister despot who will stop at nothing in his quest for power. [...] Through it all the Jedi Order has endured, an unwavering candle against the encroaching darkness.”
It continues, “But the Jedi have yet to solve the mystery of the Nameless creatures who feed on the Force. Ro has loosed them upon the galaxy, striking fear into the heart of even the most stalwart Jedi. [...] Everything now depends on nine brave Jedi, led by Avar Kriss and Elzar Mann, who embark on a treacherous journey to the Nameless homeworld. Their quest: to finally solve the mystery of the Nameless and their connection to the Force, and to stop the blight before its damage becomes irreversible.”
It sounds like this concluding tale is well worth diving into, with rave reviews across the board.

Star Wars Holocron compared it to Avengers: Endgame, writing, “The range and power of emotions fostered by reading Trials of the Jedi prove to be a testament, not only to Soule’s writing, but the wealth of stories and intricate planning that have come before it. Star Wars’ most ambitious multimedia project concludes on a perfect note.”
Space Wizards Book Club said the following in their review: “Trials of the Jedi has one of the most satisfying endings and epilogues in all of Star Wars. I was crying happy tears before grinning in absolute delight while reading the last pages. Plain and simple, Trials of the Jedi is a masterpiece. Truly, there couldn’t be a better ending to The High Republic.”
You can’t ask for higher praise than that. Trials of the Jedi is out now.
