Star Wars: New Jedi Order teaser is already getting 'fans' worked up

Some Star Wars "fans" are, as per usual, completely missing the point

Daisy Ridley has spilled the beans on the next big Star Wars project, and fans’ reactions are completely unhinged (as per usual).

In a recent interview with Inverse's Dais Johnston, Daisy Ridley spoke about the upcoming "New Jedi Order" trilogy Disney has in the works.

“I feel like [the Star Wars films] are all political. I feel like it's the individual versus the big corporation or the big group, so I think they always have been,” Ridley revealed in her interview with Inverse.

“And ultimately I think the films are emotional in that it's good and evil, which we all can relate to very specifically in our day-to-day lives. But yes, I do feel those conversations are woven within the story, and I'm very excited to see what George does.”

In Star Wars Holocron’s Twitter post detailing the interview, most of the comments (as is the case with Twitter these days) are completely missing the point and rambling about the next Star Wars project being “woke” and “Hollywood liberal nonsense” or whatever.

The thing is, if you’re a genuine Star Wars fan… you’d know that Ridley’s comments are actually spot on.

If you don’t believe me, then take a look at this handy clip someone linked in the comments in which George Lucas (you know, the guy that made Star Wars?) implies that one of his key inspirations for the franchise was the Viet Cong.

Like, did you braindead muppets actually think a story in which a group called the "Rebel Alliance" fights another group called the “Empire” didn’t have some kind of real-world basis? Are you out of your tiny little minds?

Maybe if you lot spent a little bit more time actually watching the stuff you talk about instead of waffling on Twitter about the “woke mind virus”, you might actually be able to figure some of this stuff out for yourselves.
