This epic Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy mod lets you play out some of the most incredible duels from the movie franchise.

For many, Jedi Academy is one of the best Star Wars video games there has ever been. It sits firmly alongside the likes of Knights of the Old Republic, Republic Commando, the original Battlefront games, and more recently, the Star Wars Jedi series from Respawn Entertainment.

Released in 2003, while the visuals of Star Wars Jedi Academy may have aged, its sublime gameplay has been more than enough to keep fans of the franchise entertained for two decades. However, what if the formula of this beloved Star Wars classic was made even better?

Well, as reported by PC Gamer, that’s exactly what the talented modders of Movie Duels have been doing since 2009. What’s more, Movie Duels have recently dropped its latest and sixth update that recreates epic lightsaber duels from the history of the Star Wars movie franchise.

What’s more, not only does the mod feature some of the most epic lightsaber duels from the movies but some of its content is also inspired by other video game entries as well as popular series from the streaming platform, Disney Plus.

PC Gamer also mentions that the Star Forge observation deck, an area home to the final boss encounter of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic features in the mod. While it's reported that there is nothing to do in this location yet, it perhaps hints at future content to come.

Furthermore, the Movie Duels mod not only incorporates the best battles from the Star Wars universe, but it also improves character models, as well as updating the animations. In short, this mod can be seen as an unofficial remaster of Stars Wars Jedi Academy with additional content.

To give you an inkling of how awesome this mod is, it already features the grizzled Cal Kestis from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and that game isn't even out until this March! If you want to check out this mod for yourself, it can be downloaded now via ModDB.
