Star Wars is going back to the well, and dipping into more Han Solo stories, further exploring the rogue we all love.
In a new Star Wars comic book series, Han Solo: Hunt for the Falcon, we’ll get to see events that play out between Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
Releasing from Marvel Comics on 3 September, the new comic will follow Solo as he starts to hunt down the missing Millennium Falcon, in the hope of regaining ownership.

While so many of the comics tend to follow Force users like Luke Skywalker, or Darth Vader, this new series will focus solely on Solo as he navigates a world of smugglers and bandits.
Fans are thrilled with the potential this series has, with one commenting on Twitter, “it seems like this truly might be the year to make me feel whole as a Star Wars fan again!”
One fan on Reddit seems pleased, but hopes we’ll see more of the sequel trilogy in comics, as they say, “I am generally excited! But this time period, though filled to the brim with potential, should be explored cohesively.”
Another Redditor notes, “this was unexpected, but I think it could be fun, if anything because it’s sequel related and could be a signal that Lucasfilm will do more and more stuff with that era.”

“Oh, this could be cool!” commented therealmlog in another Reddit thread which showcased the covers of the first issue.
If this is the future of the Star Wars comics, we could be in for some terrific stories, as the sequel trilogy has barely been explored compared to the original trilogy and the prequels.
Here’s hoping some good will is earned by retconning some of the things fans hate about the sequels, and delving into the more interesting characters.
