Star Wars fans amazed to discover what's under General Grievous' mask

It's gross

Star Wars fans have had another glimpse under General Grievous’ mask, and it’s one of his most disturbing features.

One of my favourite characters in Star Wars is General Grievous; my all-time favourite is Darth Maul for the Separatist leader is a very close-second.

He first debuted in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith but more recently he’s been added to Fortnite as a new skin.

The new Fortnite season has made Grievous a challenge-led skin with two styles, his normal cybernetic self that fans will recognise from the films/TV shows he’s appeared in over the years and one from before he joined the Separatists and began training under Count Dooku.

Some may believe that this is the first time we’ve seen what he looked like before his transformation but it’s actually been around for a while, just hidden away in Extended Universe content like comics.

Fans said as much in a Reddit thread, with one user commenting, “Most hardcore SW fans have known what he looked like for a while. It's been in comics, toy releases, even a mural in season one of Clone Wars shows what he looked like before the cybernetics.”

Another added, “That said, this model still has mechanical arms. It's cool to see his body in the process of becoming more cyber.”

Others said that it’d be great to one day see “a General Grievous origin story about him losing humanity literally and figuratively as he becomes a war general and gradually becomes more and more cybernetic".

Doubt we’ll ever see it happen but the best bet would be another season of Star Wars Tales, but the next will probably be focused on the Sith which Grievous was technically never connected to. It’s a shame because he’s a great character, yet he almost never has any time to shine.
