Rejoice, Star Wars fans. Kylo Ren is set to make a grand return, albeit in comic book form.

I’ve written at length about my issues with the current state of Star Wars.

Well, actually, the current state of the fandom.

You see, I’d put Skeleton Crew up there with Andor as one of the very best things to come out of the franchise in recent years.

I’m shocked that people aren’t watching it - disappointed even, as that sends the message that it’s only the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka fluffy fan-service type of entertainment that we’re interested in.

It’s not what I want, but I fear it may be all we get going forwards; a banking on fan-favourite reliability.

That being said, there are certain characters I’m happy to revisit and Kylo Ren is one of them.

This fan-favourite tortured soul is set to return in a brand new comic series, supposedly centred around a hunt for Order 66 Jedi survivors.

ICYMI: We sat down with the cast and creatives of Skeleton Crew.

This tidbit of information comes from YouTuber Star Wars Explains who sat down with writer Charles Soule ahead of the launch of the upcoming Legacy of Vader series.

Soule revealed that the series will take place between the events of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker so we’re talking about a Kylo Ren still well and truly held within the clutches of the Dark Side.

Little information is available beyond this, so it’s not yet known exactly which Jedi Kylo might come face-to-face with.

We do know, however, that Legacy of Vader Issue #1 will launch on 5 February with Issue #2 following on 12 March and Issue #3 on 16 April.

The release dates of issues four through six remain unavailable.

Needless to say, many are thrilled at the prospect of Kylo’s return.

“This is the most excited I’ve been for Marvel Star Wars books in ages,” wrote one user on YouTube.

“Ooh, should be interesting,” added another user on Twitter.

Well, there’s not long left until that first issue drops.
