Skyrim's Serana hailed as one of gaming's best companions

Gamers are always full of praise for Skyrim. I mean, with The Elder Scrolls VI still nowhere to be seen, we don’t really have much of a choice but to resort to what’s quickly becoming a pretty old game. Seriously, it turns 12 this year. That’s like, a whole child.

Anyway, Skyrim fans have been sharing their love for Serana - the vampiric companion and daughter of Lord Harkon. Although the game is filled with loads of interesting characters, many users on Reddit believe that she stands out above the rest when it comes to her personality and interactions.

Take a look at some of the funniest Skyrim wins and fails below.

“This is my first time playing Skyrim and I fell in love with this woman. Please tell me I'm not the only one,” Ledeycat wrote. Spoiler alert, they definitely weren’t the only one.

“Well, it's like one of many stories about rescuing a princess hidden in the tower, plus unlike the many other NPCs, Serana is quite well developed in personality, her story, secrets, etc., and she actually... like... talks to you, not just [sic] answers the questions like a chatbot,” replied -Coffee-Owl-. “She’s the best, but like anyone else little things start to annoy you after you spend a lot of time with her. Then she saves your ass and you fall in love all over again,” wrote chrisallen07.

Many Elder Scrolls fans are hoping that this could finally be the year that we get a trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI. It’s been a long time coming, but apparently, the game will last us “decades” by the time it comes out, so it sounds like it’ll be worth the wait. There are currently some concerns that the title could be an Xbox exclusive, however.

It'll probably be a while before we have to worry about that, though - the game is still very likely a number of years from release. But hey, each day is a day closer.
