It’s a tense time for fans of The Elder Scrolls.

In just a few days, Microsoft will hold this year’s Xbox Showcase.

Could this finally be the year that The Elder Scrolls VI receives a re-reveal, or will we be forced to wait another 12 months?

Personally, I’m not hopeful an announcement will surface but hey, I’d love to be wrong.

I have a feeling we’ll be forced to return to our pre-existing beloved favourites instead.

Of course, the recent arrival of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is helping to keep many of us entertained.

And plenty of fans simply cannot tear themselves away from good ol’ Skyrim.

Did you know that the game’s opening area is actually hiding a secret that I'm imagining a good few of you will have missed?

Allow me to enlighten you.

This discovery was made by Reddit user TheKarliahSimp who said, “If you return to Helgen after the beginning of the game, you can find at least five bottles of the mead that Ralof mentions on the upper floors of the inn.”

And indeed, five ‘Mead With Juniper Berry’ bottles await you.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t know that myself.

Yeah, it’s not game-changing knowledge but listen, I’m a dork. I think it’s fun to uncover every minute detail there is.

“Oh that's cool, I never noticed that,” replied kismethound.

“DUDE thank you! In my game, I collect rare meads,” added bunnythealex.

“Really? How the hell have I not found this after all these years playing Skyrim,” PJpremiere commented.

Well, now you know buddy.

As for that Xbox Showcase I mentioned, it kicks off this Sunday 8 June at 1pm ET / 10am PT / 6pm BST / 7pm CEST.

An exact runtime hasn’t been confirmed but I’d hazard a guess that we’ll get up to about 60 minutes of reveals, before The Outer Worlds 2 Direct begins immediately after.

Will Bethesda stop by? God, I really hope so.
