Without question, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is not only one of the best RPGs of all time, but it’s also considered to be one of the most popular games ever and for good reason.

Ever since the Bethesda RPG was released in 2011, Skyrim has seen nearly countless ports following its initial release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Its most recent release arrived 10 years later with the Anniversary Edition on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S which not only boasted improved visuals and performance, but it also came with a large selection of mods on console.

Check out the stunning Skyrim graphics overhaul gameplay below!

It’s fair to say that one of the main reasons why Skyrim remains alive and well all these years later is down to its fantastic and devoted modding community. One mod (or I should say mods) in particular gives Skyrim such a fresh lick of paint, that this ‘next-gen’ graphics overhaul looks so pretty, it makes me want to cry. Judging by a page on Nexusmods, the graphics overhaul is a combination of various mods that result in this visual delight. The textures, lighting, reflections and more look sublime.

I kid you not, when I first saw the gameplay for this graphics overhaul, I had to double-check to make sure this is Skyrim and not a newly announced RPG. However, this is very much Skyrim and it’s arguably never looked better. Despite being announced nearly six years ago, The Elder Scrolls VI does not have a release date, but if the next entry in the ever-popular fantasy RPG series looks anything to the level, then we’re in for a treat.

The Elder Scrolls VI is likely to be exclusive to PC and Xbox Series X|S, considering that Microsoft now owns Bethesda. That being said, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is currently available on just about every platform imaginable.
