GTA VI is still launching next year, for the time being anyway, and a third trailer is expected to drop sometime this month.
The last time GTA VI was delayed, Rockstar Games offered us a second trailer as a peace offering, so naturally everyone’s expecting the same treatment this time around.
GTA VI was delayed to November 2026 last Thursday but we haven’t heard anything from Rockstar Games since, though perhaps the studio was waiting for all the fuss to die down over the weekend.
This week could potentially give us that third trailer, but like many I’m hoping we get more than the previous two trailers combined.

Don’t get me wrong I’m already heavily invested in Lucia and Jason’s stories and the panning shots of the open-world do get me excited to play the game, but something has been missing.
We’re lacking actual gameplay, and by that I mean raw gameplay rather than gameplay captured from a different perspective to look cinematic for a trailer.
GTA V was a good example of this as it showed off some of the activities you can get up to in Los Santos. I recall there being parachuting, sport activities like tennis and of course the actual crimes.

We haven’t really had any of that for GTA VI yet despite there being an abundance of leaks hinting at what minigames will be on offer in Vice City and its surrounding area.
I’m not expecting the driving and shooting to look much different to previous Grand Theft Auto games but just a few glimpses of Lucia and Jason causing destruction wouldn’t hurt. Other leaks suggested there’ll be some new in-game mechanics so it’d be a good opportunity to show some of those off too.
If the next trailer is just more cutscenes and shots of the open-world looking pretty I don’t think it’ll go down well with fans.
GTA: Online 2
Another possibility is the next trailer will show off a bit more singleplayer content but also tease the next iteration of GTA: Online.
So far nothing has been said about the new online mode but some recent activity on Rockstar’s website suggests that might change soon.
Again it doesn't need to go too in-depth, just show that it’ll exist and roughly when we’ll be getting it, though of course that’ll depend on when the singleplayer launches.
We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for updates from Rockstar Games this month, as a third trailer is more likely than ever so the company can save face.
