Last week saw Rockstar reveal the unfortunate news that Grand Theft Auto VI would be receiving yet another delay.

Marking the third delay, it is easy to feel disheartened, especially considering that Grand Theft Auto VI has officially marked itself as the most anticipated video game release of all time.

However, a recent discovery proves that it is not all doom and gloom and this third delay may very well be the last.

First planned for a Fall 2025 release before being pushed back to 26 May 2026, Grand Theft Auto VI has now been delayed until 19 November 2026.

With it now being over a year until the Rockstar title is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, fans are holding out for reassurance that this will be the last big wait.

Well, according to some social media posts, it may very well be.

The first is a post shared by the GTA 6 Twitter account who pointed out a very interesting detail.

“GTA 6 releases November 19 2026, the same day as Bonnie and Clyde’s first bank robbery,” they shared alongside an image comparison of Jason and Lucia and the infamous bank robbers.

“Could this be the final date?”

For those unaware, the story of GTA VI will be based loosely off the adventures of Bonnie and Clyde with Lucia and Jason taking on the respective roles.

Either this date is purely coincidental or a delay to 19 November was always on the cards to match up with this important event.

Additionally, shared on the Gamers Guide Twitter account, its owner pointed out a new job listing for Rockstar Games.

The final touches

This time the studio is looking for an Associate QA Tester who can “identify issues, gather supporting information, and write comprehensive bug reports”.

“Such hiring typically aligns with late-stage testing and polishing,” the post shared, alongside a screenshot of the job listing itself.

“This suggests that GTA 6 may now be in an advanced polishing and QA phase, as technical testing teams typically expand when a game approaches its final dev stage.”

Of course, neither of these posts have been officially shared or confirmed by Rockstar but it would definitely seem, with all of the information provided, that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on 19 November 2026 without any further delays.

Well, we can only hope at least.
