Red Dead Redemption 2 players blown away by secret cave we all missed

RDR2 keeps on surprising!

Red Dead Redemption 2 players are blown away by a secret cave that most of us probably missed.

Released in 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before making its way to PC the following year, Red Dead Redemption 2 is not only one of the best titles from GTA VI developer Rockstar Games but it’s also one of the greatest video games of all time, as indicated by its 97 score on Metacritic, more than justifying its “Must-Play” accolade.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer below!

“America, 1899. Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are outlaws on the run. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive,” reads the synopsis of the game.

Aside from its compelling story campaign starring Arthur Morgan (played by Roger Clark), Rockstar Games’ wonderfully crafted Wild West world is huge and full of fun activities such as hunting, fishing, card games and much more. It also contains tons of secrets, many of which may go unnoticed by most, such as the secret cave featured in today’s story.

“I found this cave while exploring Mount Shann,” said Redditor Ok_Investigator1816, sharing ominous screenshots of the cave in question. “Does anyone know the purpose of this place?”

Some of the screenshots show blood on the floor which either means one of the wildlife has met its demise or perhaps an unfortunate human character has faced an untimely fate.

Thankfully, to no surprise whatsoever, fellow members of the thread supplied the much-needed answers. “That's the legendary white cougar cave,” revealed h0nk_h0nka with DprHtz adding “Yeah, my PTSD told me that already, thanks.”

However, Redditor Electrical_Monk_3787 corrected the answer with something much worse (or beautiful, depending on your perspective). “That cougar isn't the Legendary one. It's just a rare white cougar that's part of a debt collection mission,” they said.

Anyone familiar with the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series knows that cougars are a pain in the backside. So if you find yourself wandering into an ominous cave, be prepared to be attacked without warning.
