Given that it’s been almost five full years since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, you’d have thought that most people, having completed the game, would have already moved on to other single-player adventures. There’s only so much that you can do in one game, right?

Well, apparently not, because even if Rockstar Games isn’t going to add any more content, what’s stopping the fanbase from making new things themselves? Absolutely nothing, that’s what. One modder’s latest creation has added almost 50 unique characters to the game, and fans are stunned.

Before we get into it, take a look at some of our favourite wins and fails from Red Dead Redemption 2 below.

Shared on the r/reddeadredemption2 subreddit, user HenriettasChicken wrote: “I worked for two weeks non-stop and made a Native American mod with nearly 50 unique characters for you dear RDR2 players. Available on Nexus. Have fun.”

Fans are blown away by the modder’s work: “Hey this is BEAUTIFUL! Whoa!” one user commented. “As someone who has playing [Red Dead Online] as a Native character since day one this is awesome work!” another wrote. “This looks amazing! I always wanted to play as a Native American in a video game since I was a kid,” added another.

If you want to try out this mod for yourself, you can download it free here. Obviously though, this can only be used by those who have the PC version of the game - console gamers are out of luck.

Even without fan-made content, players are still discovering new secrets in Red Dead Redemption 2’s open world. Recently, one fan discovered that hunters camps have an incredibly useful purpose beyond just looking cool.

As Rockstar Games continues to focus on the development of the next Grand Theft Auto game, it’s probably going to be quite some time before we hear anything about a new Red Dead Redemption title. Hopefully it’ll be worth the wait whenever (if ever) it happens.
