Red Dead Redemption 2 free DLC, new modes announced for November

It's time to dive into the Thanksgiving update

Red Dead Redemption 2’s online multiplayer component, Red Dead Online, is a shell of its former self - as much as I hate to say it.

You may recall that several years ago, Rockstar Games announced that they’d no longer be supporting the game with major content updates.

Those efforts are reserved for GTA Online, but that doesn’t mean that Red Dead Online is totally without new content.

Content drops are, well, less exciting than they used to be, but they still manage to keep avid players entertained.

To celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving season, Rockstar Games has announced the latest free update, subtitled ‘Trader Bonuses’.

Want to find out what the DLC has in store? You’ve come to the right place.

We’re rapidly approaching the one year anniversary of Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer.

During the event, Free Roam Events and Missions will offer a 50% RDO$ and XP bonus for playing in a posse.

“Cooperate with your fellow man to protect a train loaded with crates from encroaching bandits in the Trade Route Free Roam Event for 3x RDO$ and XP,” Rockstar announced.

As a nice bonus, if you participate in a Trade Route Free Roam Event before 2 December, you’ll nab the Rexroad Boots.

Additionally, if you play during Thanksgiving week itself - 26 November to 2 December - you’ll be able to claim the West Elizabeth Bandana for free.

Turkey sales to the butcher are worth 10 times the amount of RDO$ this month, and you can enjoy free drinks at saloons and food provisions during Thanksgiving week.

This month’s Featured Series will welcome four weeks of Showdown modes, with 2x Ability Card XP and Gold up for grabs.

The Tumbleweed Series runs from 5 to 11 November, followed by the Ambarino Series from 12 to 18, the Lemoyne Series from 19 to 25, and the Hardcore Showdown Series from 26 November to 2 December.

If you win a Featured Series, you’ll nab the Dunster Shirt.

That’s not all. Various limited-time outfits have returned to participating tailors, and the Outlaw Pass returns for those completing this month’s activities.
