Red Dead Redemption 2 players warned they've 72 hours left to claim free DLC

Red Dead Redemption 2 players have been warned they only have 72 hours left to claim this free DLC from Rockstar Games.

Despite not being supported to the same extent as GTA Online, Rockstar Games at the very least updates Red Dead Online with monthly events that reward players with loads of free content. However, it would have been nice to have seen RDO supported with expansion-sized updates but it is what it is.

Red Dead Online comes bundled with Red Dead Redemption 2 but is also available as a standalone purchase and is a decent game for those who have had their fill of the fantastic single-player campaign starring Arthur Morgan.

“Forge your own path as you battle lawmen, outlaw gangs and ferocious wild animals to build a life on the American frontier,” reads the description of the Rockstar Games title.

“Chase down bounties, hunt, fish and trade, search for exotic treasures, run your own underground Moonshine distillery, or become a Naturalist to learn the secrets of the animal kingdom and much more in a world of astounding depth and detail.”

Right now, the latest ‘Bounty Hunter Bonus' event is live in Red Dead Online which rewards participating players with free DLC simply by playing the game as well as earning bonus XP and in-game currency.



One such reward is the ‘O’Creagh’s Run Treasure Map’, which will be gifted to players by ranking up five times or by reaching at least level 20 as a bounty hunter.

However, you have just 72 hours left to claim the free ‘O’Creagh’s Run Treasure Map’, because it’s only available until 3 March 2025. After that, your opportunity will be missed.

We’ll keep you posted when Rockstar Games drops the details for the next free event in Red Dead Online.
