Red Dead Redemption 2 getting new free content for April

Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting some new free content later this month for all players to enjoy.

Despite Rockstar Games setting its sights on GTA VI, it’s still giving its older titles like GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 a lot of love, thanks to a slow but steady stream of new content.

While we’ll probably be waiting a little while longer for GTA VI (and whenever Red Dead Redemption 3 will happen), these games can still satisfy that Rockstar itch while we wait.

Red Dead Online is still a fun time in 2025.

Rockstar has announced Red Dead Redemption 2 will be getting some free content for April. More specifically, if you’re a Red Dead Online player you’ll have much to do.

For starters, trader sales will give you a hefty payout, resulting in triple RDO$, XP, and Role XP. Completing at least five sales will also give you a free pair of boots. You’ll also get triple XP and RDO$ for completing the Trade Route Free Roam Event, as well as the month’s Featured Series rotation.

April’s Featured Series rotation is as follows:

• April 1 – 7: Race Series
• April 8 – 14: Bow and Arrow Series
• April 15 – 21: Race Series 2
• April 22 – 28: Contrast Series – Open Target Races and Overrun

Finishing in the top three positions in any race will also give you an offer of eight Gold Bars off any role item. Meanwhile, you’ll also earn double gold if you manage to complete all your daily challenges.

Speaking of challenges, there are a host of new challenges to complete this month which will reward you with special outfits and gear, so be sure to check those out too.

There’ll also be discounts on Camp Flags, Themes, and Dogs for 50% off, plus Free Setup and Relocation.

Finally, Red Dead Online will be getting some limited-time clothing back, such as the Fanned Stovepipe Hat and Torranca Coat. They’ll be stocked in the local Tailors and in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue.

All-in-all, if you’re put off by the grind or just starting out, the content coming to Red Dead Redemption 2 this month should help you easily gain a leg up. These bonuses last until 28 April, 2025.
