You would think that fishing would be a simple pastime in Red Dead Redemption 2, but silly us, we’ve been doing it wrong for years.

Why cast out a fishing line, sitting in the peaceful scenery, waiting for a fish to nibble at your bait? Surely there’s a faster way to snag your catch in the Rockstar Games masterpiece?

You’d better believe there is, but it’s certain to upset the ecological balance of the Wild West, and likely get karma looking down on you, at least according to Redditors.

When asked, what is one thing you didn’t realise you could do in Red Dead Redemption 2, one fan writes, “Fishing with dynamite.”

This bit of information, supplied by IronGreyWarHorse, might come as a shock to many - except maybe the deviants out there.

It’s certainly easier, if you don’t mind polluting the waterways, while causing several fish to haemorrhage and float to the surface.

As pointed out by another Redditor, you do get bad karma for such an action, but it doesn’t stop it from being so satisfying, nor a speedy way to get the job done.

Of course, we’re being a bit silly, you’ve not been doing it wrong for using a rod and doing it the traditional way, but if you’re not scared of a bit of bad karma, why not lob some dynamite into a lake and see what you get.

This has been done in real life before, and while we don’t recommend trying that, what would it hurt to get a little explosive in a video game, I’m sure you’ve done worse in your adventures here and in GTA V.

So, live on the wild side, catch some fish in an anarchic way and say to hell with the man and his regular fishing with a regular rod.
