Wild West fans can claim free DLC in Red Dead Redemption 2’s latest event for Red Dead Online. Yeeha!

Some would rightly argue that Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest video games of all time and is firmly backed up by its incredible Metacritic score of 97, placing it firmly amongst the industry’s elite. Sadly, however, the same cannot be said for its multiplayer offering, Red Dead Online.

Check out the Red Dead Online trailer below!

That’s not to say that Red Dead Online isn't a good game because it most certainly is. After all, it shares the same world, gameplay and visuals as its popular single-player brother, Red Dead Redemption 2. But when Rockstar Games all but confirmed that major content support for Red Dead Online was to end, it put a dampener on a game with tons of potential.

Now, Red Dead Online fans look at GTA Online with envy as the Grand Theft Auto title continues to be supported with huge content updates for a game that was originally released in 2013. That being said, this iteration of GTA Online will likely come to an end soon with GTA VI set to be released in 2025 and with it, is likely a new version of the multiplayer game.

The latest Red Dead Online event is here with ‘Bounty Hunter Bonuses’ and along with bonus XP and currency, you can also claim free DLC by completing missions. For example, you will be gifted with a free black and white Shaffer Chaps by participating in the missions Manhunt or Day of Reckoning.

What’s more, by completing Bounty Hunter Daily Challenges three days in a row, you will be rewarded with a free Tan and Black Leavitt Jackett and a black Dillehay Hat for winning in the featured series. However, that is not all, because there is more.

You will earn the following rewards each week for completing Bounties:

  • 3 September to 9 - A beige Morning Tailcoat
  • 10 September to 16 - 16:3 Gravesend Bolas
  • 17 September to 23 - 23:50 Shotgun Slugs
  • 24 September to 30 - A brown Boutell Hat

Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online are out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
