Red Dead Redemption 2 is a great game, it’s also really sad, so what else for it other than to pretend that the ending never happened with an expansion?

With the power of mods just about anything is possible, and while plenty of mods focus on the silly or the sublime, as well as adding an Undead Nightmare mode to the game, this one is all about extending your time with the legendary Arthur Morgan

Makes you wonder where else this series can go with a third game, or whether we need one at all?

That’s right if you want to keep playing as Arthur even after the events of Red Dead Redemption 2 are over you can do thanks to the Arthur's Redemption mod.

The description on NexusMods reads: “Arthur's story doesn't stop in chapter 6. He is healthy again and you can start a new journey with him and the remnants of the gang. There are 3 camps: BEAVER HOLLOW, CLEMENS POINT & SHADY BELLE.”

He must have consumed some sort of magical miracle tonic or something as he seemingly picked himself up off the floor with no further ailments, great if you’ve got some unfinished business out there in the map.

As the description says you can also hang out with the members of your camp who survive the main story, a true happy ending to an otherwise devastating game.

Don’t expect it to be ever made canon though, as actor Roger Clark reckons Arthur’s story is well and truly finished, even as far as further prequels go.

The next game in the series will either be a sequel to the first game, though you’d be starting to lose the cowboy aesthetic a bit there, or it’ll be a totally new spin-off much like Red Dead Revolver, hell it might even be a sequel to that game.

We’ve got a long way to go before then though, so enjoy your time with Arthur while you’ve still can.
