Although it seems as though Red Dead Redemption 3 is but a pipe dream, that doesn’t mean that Rockstar isn’t dedicated to updating players with regular content.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is an incredible game in its own right but with the Rockstar title recently celebrating its six-year anniversary, it is safe to say that hardcore fans will have exhausted all of its content.

Luckily, its Red Dead Online component is still being regularly updated and now that a new year has begun, players have some exciting content to look forward to.
“With a new year underway, the time is right to step outside of traditional routines and boundaries to explore in search of opportunity,” the official blog post reads.
To start January off, Red Dead Online players can take part in Free Roam Events which will reward them with 3X RDO$ and XP until 3 February.
Additionally, taking part in a round of the Salvage or Condor Egg Free Roam Events will see you earn a Reward for the Lost Jewelry Collector Map.
As well as double rewards on Collector Set Sales, 3X RDO$ and XP, players can also get their hands on some free cosmetics.
Completing the Blood Money Opportunity before 3 February will make you eligible for a pair of stylish blue Tied Pants.
Additionally, limited-time clothing is making a return with the Shaffer Chaps, Cossack Hat, Squat Stovepipe Top Hat and more now up for grabs once again.
With five states to travel across, Rockstar has implemented lower fast travel fees to kick off 2025 and so you will be able to take part in all of these new events without having to worry about your gold.
All of this new content for Red Dead Online is available now across all platforms.
