We’re barely into 2025 and The Pokémon Company already has an announcement for us, and it’s themed around everyone’s favourite fox-shaped genetic abnormality Eevee.
As revealed on the official Pokémon website, The Pokémon Company is officially branding 2025 the “Year of Eevee.”
So what does the Year of Eevee entail? Well, according to the website, it means we’ll be getting lots of Eevee-related goodies throughout the entire year.

“The new year has just begun, and while it’s difficult to predict exactly what 2025 has in store, there’s one guarantee—an abundance of Eevee,” stated the press release.
“The Pokémon Center will be celebrating Eevee and each of its adorable Evolutions all year long, so there are plenty of exciting products to look forward to.”
Said “exciting products” will include, but are not limited to “detailed figures that showcase the unique attitudes of each Eevee Evolution” and “adventure partner key chains so you can bring Eevee or your favorite Eevee Evolution with you wherever you go.”
That’s not all though, as The Pokémon Company also revealed (reeveealed?) “new pearlescent Pop! figures by Funko, Pokémon Kitchen designs featuring Eevee” and even a “cozy Eevee plush.”

Let's not forget that Pokémon Legends Z-A is set to land this year.
As of now, most of the products listed aren’t actually available - other than the Eevee plushies.
However, they did reveal a first look at the new “Evolving Personalities” figurines for Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon on the official Pokémon Center website.

Although the announcement only seems to be geared towards Eevee products rather than games, there’s always the chance that something bigger might come out of the reveal later on down the line.
After all, Eevee does seem to be Pokémon’s secondary mascot (if the release of Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! is anything to go by), so there’s always the possibility that this could be the lay-up for a new game announcement.
