The PlayStation Plus line-up for each month has become a bit of a ritual for players who subscribe to the service, as they wait to find out what Sony is going to offer up at no additional cost to their fans.

The company have been on a genuinely admirable run in recent months, dropping some absolute bangers across the three tiers of subscription to PlayStation Plus that they offer.

October saw them drop Alan Wake 2 into our proverbial laps, one of the best narrative games of the last few years and an easy recommendation for anyone who likes narrative story experiences.

Whilst we don't know exactly what the games for November are going to be yet, plenty of people are speculating on what we might get, and one user in particular thinks they may have spotted a pattern.

Over on Reddit, a fan shared the November Essentials PlayStation Plus line-up from 2020-2024, and noted that every single one of those offering featured an RPG release, possibly pointing to a potential theme emerging.

Games like Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Mafia II are probably the best examples, but the OP is at the very least correct that there is one RPG in each November set of releases.

Fans Put In Their Requests

In the responses below, it's safe to say that fans were keen to put in their own requests for RPGs they would like to see as Essentials subscribers and above.

"Final Fantasy 16 or Final Fantasy Rebirth would make it a great month, I’ve been holding off on buying them as I expect them on PS Plus soon," one comment read.

"No way we get Alan Wake 2, Silent Hill 2 and Rebirth in a row. That would be the best ps plus year ever for my taste," another added.

A third took the mental gymnastics a step further, saying, "Nioh - November 2019. Nioh 2 - November 2022. Wo Long Fallen Dynasty November 2025, 50/50% chance it's gonna be next. I 100% hope it's gonna be Wo Long Fallen Dynasty because Nioh 3 is coming February 2026."

In any case, we won't have too long to wait to find out for sure, with the PS Plus Essentials line-up set to be announced on 29 October. Whether all of the RPG fans out there will be pleased when it does reveal remains to be seen, but they're sure they've identified a pattern.
