With big game releases from even bigger companies taking the spotlight throughout the year, it is easy to miss some hidden gems. Luckily for us, PlayStation has us covered with one incredible 2021 release which has been described as an “absolute must-play” now being up for grabs for no extra cost.

Check out the Kena: Bridge of Spirits announcement trailer below!

Released in 2021, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an action-adventure game from the creators at Ember Lab. Telling the story of Kena, a young spirit guide, it is your job to use her abilities to ferry spirits from the physical world to the spiritual one.

Accompanied by a team of tiny spirits known as the Rot, it is up to them to maintain balance by decomposing the dead and rotting elements threatening to take over the land. As you make your way to the sacred Mountain Shrine, you will take part in challenging combat, puzzles and general exploration to reach your goal in this stunning title.

For those who missed out on Kena: Bridge of Spirits, then worry no more as Sony is giving PlayStation Plus Extra members the chance to grab it for no extra cost in the console’s extensive library. Additionally, if you are not an Extra member, Kena is currently on sale for £13.19, down from £32.99 until 27 March.

With the game being somewhat of a hidden gem, many fans have taken to Reddit over recent years to share their love for the game with one post on r/PS5 reading: “I can’t believe I slept on this game for so long. The character design, combat, world-building…it’s incredible and I’m only an hour or so in.”

Another replied: “I had a blast with this game about a year ago. It may seem a little cartoonish or maybe even for kids, but this game is kind of dark too. This is an indie must play for anyone that likes adventure games and I recommend playing the highest difficulty too!”
