Daisuke Tsuji, who plays Jin Sakai in Ghost Of Tsushima, has shown off his brilliant sword skills in a duel between himself and actor Toru Uchikado.

Ghost Of Tsushima was a smash hit for Sucker Punch Productions with particular praise for the commitment to historical and cultural representation. "I don't think we'd ever say that we've succeeded in becoming authentic, because of course, we're doing our best," said studio head Brian Fleming in an interview.

"And the way we try to do our best is by having experts, whether it's reviewing the scripts or it's down at the motion capture shoot, helping with mannerisms, helping with the way that people would space themselves, you know, to show the appropriate amounts of respect."

It wasn't too long before an adaptation for the silver screen was announced with director Chad Stahelski on board. Stahelski is of course known for the John Wick films as well as being stunt double for actors like Brandon Lee, Keanu Reeves and Johnny Knoxville. The thing that would be the cherry on the cake is if Daisuke Tsuji reprised his role as Jin Sakai, and with a few more training sessions with Toru Uchikado, that certainly could be a reality.

Known for his roles in Heroes Reborn, Castlevania and Westworld, Uchikado invited Tsuji to Los Angeles to try out Jin's sword moves for real. The actor adores the character and the game, however, he has had no experience performing these sorts of stunts in the past. Tsuji rose to the challenge though.

Following Uchikado's lead, he's a little wobbly with the katana to begin with, but he soon finds his flow. Tsuji pulls off the Swordbreaker of Stone Stance, Flurry Strike of Water Stance and others with ease, and the two eventually reenact the fateful duel between Jin and his uncle Lord Shimura at the end of the session. It's safe to say that fans are thrilled with Tsuji's skill and enthusiasm.

"If he isn't the lead then I'm not even going to bother," said usetehfurce on Reddit. "The only thing that would make this better is if he busted out a flute afterwards," added DontKnowAnyBetter.
