Before these aforementioned games however, there is another highly-anticipated release on the way and ahead of its launch, players can dive in and experience it for free.

Monster Hunter: Wilds.

Arriving on 28 February, Monster Hunter: Wilds is the successor to Monster Hunter: World and tells the story of “monsters and humans in a world with two faces.

You will play as a professional monster hunter who must protect the balance of the precious ecosystem by hunting monsters.

With not long to go before it releases fully, Capcom has revealed that Monster Hunter: Wilds is receiving yet another open beta test.

Announced on the official Monster Hunter Twitter account, the post reads as follows:

“Happy New Year, hunters! Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto is here to welcome you into the year of Monster Hunter Wilds, and to share news of the second Open Beta Test planned for February! The future is looking bright…”

The announcement comes alongside a video of Tsujimoto giving us a rundown of what we can expect from the brand-new entry in the series.

The first beta was held back in November, 2023 but this one gives players another chance to dive into the action and even features a brand-new monster to hunt.

The new open beta will go live on 6 February at 7pm P.T. and runs until 9 February at 6:59pm P.T.

Additionally, there is yet another beta scheduled for the weekend after (February 13-16).

It is completely free to join so you can get a good look at the game before its full release a week later.
